Plant Health Agri Ltd has processed a total of 200 metric tonnes of dry beans for the 2025/26 farming season.
This further strengthens the company's position in the beans value chain. The company's seed is distributed under the brand name PH SEEDS.
The company will this season recruit 2,500 small holder farmers in its outgrower scheme. This will bring to 10,000 small holder farmers who have benefited from the scheme.
Started in 2022 with the help of the EU (EZCF) the scheme has seen farmers improve yields as a result of quality seed from 0.2ton/ha to 0.9tons/ha. The seed genetic potential is three 9)3 metric tons per hectare. With trains especially in climate smart agriculture the company aims to reach 1.5 tons per ha on average for the small holder farmers. The company is certified by Seed Certification and Control Institute (SCCI)
The quality has equally improved seeing the company importing dry to South Africa.
